JULIE SMITH

KARPOS Co-Founder & Partner, LPC Associate (under the supervision of Laura Pace, PhD., LPC-S)

M.A. Biblical Counseling, Dallas Theological Seminary B.B.A. Marketing, Texas A&M University

My passion is helping individuals navigate loss, significant change, and identity shifts through grief counseling and support for life transitions. Grief doesn’t stay in one lane; it shows up at work, in relationships, and in our sense of self. Whether it’s the death of a loved one, a divorce, a major move, or the quiet grief of unmet expectations, loss touches every part of life—both personal and professional.

With a background in corporate leadership, I’m uniquely able to support clients navigating the overlap between their professional life and personal pain. I understand how unresolved grief, emotional strain, and caregiver stress can quietly impact focus, productivity, and relationships.

Whether you’re a teen navigating the grief of losing someone or something important, or an adult facing the weight of change and uncertainty, my role is to help you slow down, tune into what’s happening inside you, and reconnect with your own direction in life.

Beyond work, Julie loves spending time with family and friends, spoiling her doodles Walter and Birdie, keeping up her gym routine, and participating in games of pickleball. When fall arrives, Saturdays are reserved for college football.
