A DIFFERENT WAY OF DOING THERAPY

rooted in the person, not the problem

KARPOS was created around a simple belief: effective therapy should make room for the whole story. We look beyond labels and quick answers to understand the experiences, relationships, patterns, and circumstances that shape each person’s life. By taking the time to look at the bigger picture, we create space for honest conversation, greater self-awareness, and a clearer sense of what may be getting in the way.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all

Every person brings a different combination of experiences, relationships, patterns, and circumstances into the therapy room.

That’s why we take the time to understand the bigger picture before deciding where to begin. Our approach is curious, collaborative, and grounded in clinical expertise, with room for the work to evolve as you do. Rather than following a predetermined formula, we meet each client with openness and intention—creating space for honest conversation, reflection, and the kind of work that can lead to lasting change.

My passion and specialty lie in helping teens and adults navigate loss, significant change, and identity shifts through grief counseling and transition services. With a background in corporate leadership, I’m able to uniquely support clients navigating the overlap between professional life and personal pain. Bridging these worlds—the boardroom and the therapy room—is where I do some of my most meaningful work.

As a Sex Therapy Associate, I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals and couples who are deeply tired. The challenges in the boardroom often mirror those in the bedroom, and my work is driven by the belief that professional success and personal well-being are intrinsically linked. My goal during each session is to create a space where individuals and couples can grow with purpose, resilience, and clarity.

the mission & story behind karpos

A SHARED VISION, BROUGHT TO LIFE with intention

Our story began atop a Colorado mountain during a retreat, where Julie and Kathryn met and quickly discovered a shared belief in the power of meaningful, human connection. That first conversation grew into a friendship, a shared vision, and eventually the idea for KARPOS: a practice built around helping people better understand themselves, navigate change, and create lives that feel more intentional and connected.

The name KARPOS comes from the Greek word for “fruit”—a reflection of the idea that growth takes time, care, and patience. Like anything worth cultivating, meaningful change rarely happens all at once. It develops through the small choices, honest conversations, and intentional work we return to over time.

That idea continues to shape how we work today. Whether through therapy or coaching, KARPOS creates space for people to pause, reflect, and move toward what matters most.
